Climate
- Victoria is situated on the southern tip of
Vancouver Island and sparkles in one of Canada's mildest climates. This area is the
sunniest spot in the province and the gentlest in the country in terms of climate,
environment, and lifestyle.

taxes, a federal Goods and
- Services Tax of 7% (GST) and a provincial
- sales tax of 7%
- Other taxes include: 10% alcohol tax; 17% hotel tax; 15%
gratuity tax

- Victoria is in the Pacific Standard Time Zone, 8 hours
behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Daylight Savings Time is in effect from 0200hr on the first
Sunday in April until 0200hr on the last Sunday in October
